The commute disappearing is the benefit and the trap. Without a drive to mark the edges, the hour gets colonized by whatever is next. Put a wall around it.

Physically, at the time of session. That's a licensing rule, not a preference. Travelling out of state means we pause, and we plan for it rather than discover it.

In person is still on the table.
Statewide by video is most of my practice, not all of it. If you're in Los Angeles, there's a private office in Hancock Park a few steps off Larchmont, three days a week. And from Woodland Hills through the Conejo Valley I hold walk-and-talk sessions outdoors in the Santa Monica Mountains, where moving bodies and oak shade tend to put the conversation in a different gear.
Plenty of people mix them: mostly video, in person when something warrants the trip.

Those spots open and close as people come and go, so the only way to know what's available is to ask. If the fee is what's standing between you and starting, say so on the call. Asking costs you nothing.
