San Francisco & Bay Area

Online therapy for Bay Area clients — anywhere in California.

I'm based in Los Angeles. You're in San Francisco, Oakland, Marin, Palo Alto — wherever you are in California, my license covers it and we can work. Secure video, same depth, no commute.

The Bay has a particular kind of pressure.

Capable, self-aware, financially stable — and often quietly carrying more than your output shows. Maybe it's the particular weight of working in an industry that defines you more than you'd like. Maybe it's a relationship straining under two demanding careers, or a creative life that got traded for a tech career and is demanding to be let back in. Maybe you've done enough self-awareness work to know something isn't working, but not enough to know what to do about it.

That's a good place to start. The fact that you've gotten this far with this much insight is worth something. It's also not the same as being done.

How online therapy works across California

My California license covers the entire state. We meet by secure, HIPAA-compliant video. You need a private enough room and forty-five minutes. Everything else is the same as in-person work — which is to say, it depends almost entirely on the quality of the conversation, not the square footage of the room.

A lot of Bay Area clients find the virtual format easier to keep consistent than in-person would be. No commute across the bridge. No rescheduling around travel. We meet the same time every week, from wherever you are.

Who tends to find me from the Bay

Founders and tech workers who've reached the milestone they were aiming at and found it hollow. Artists who moved north for a relationship or an opportunity and are trying to figure out where their work fits in a city that can be hard on creative people. Couples navigating two high-pressure careers, or a transition neither of them planned for. Adults in their thirties and forties who are self-aware enough to know the old patterns aren't working, but need a room where they can actually look at them.

My approach

Narrative therapy and philosophical Taoism. Narrative therapy holds that you are not your problem — it exists outside you, in stories you've absorbed from your culture, your family, your conditioning. We externalize the problem, examine it clearly, and rewrite around what's actually true about you. Taoism says stop fighting your own nature: all energy has a correct course, and the work is pointing yours back toward it.

I'm not here to be neutral. I'll tell you what I see, I'll stay in it with you, and I could not be more serious about your change.

My rate is $275 per session — private pay, out-of-network, superbills for reimbursement. A few sliding-scale spots held open each season. Everything starts with a free twenty-minute call.
