What Therapy Actually Costs in Los Angeles

People ask me this on the first call, every time, and they usually apologize for asking. Don't. Here's the actual number, not a range designed to get you to email first.

In this practice there are two rates, not one. Sessions with me are $375, fifty minutes. Sessions with one of my associate therapists, Registered Associate MFTs I supervise directly, are $150. Same clinical review, same standard of care, same practice. The difference is who's in the room, not how seriously your case gets taken.

Both rates are private pay. I'm out-of-network with every insurer, on purpose, so I can provide superbills you submit for partial reimbursement instead of letting a case manager decide how many sessions your life is worth. If your plan has out-of-network mental health benefits, the superbill is often what makes the real cost closer to a copay than the sticker price.

I also hold a few sliding-scale spots each season, reserved for people whose work matters but whose financial reality doesn't match the fee yet. There's no waitlist you can see and no form to fill out. You say so on the consultation call, and we talk about it honestly.

If $375 isn't where you are right now, that's not the end of the conversation. Mimi Le and Analia Rey are both Registered Associate MFTs carrying full caseloads at $150 a session, working with couples, teens, individuals, and, in Analia's case, a particular focus on creatives, dating patterns, and heartbreak. I review every case either of them carries. You are not getting a lesser version of this practice at the lower rate. You're getting an earlier-career clinician with real supervision behind her.

The honest version of my advice: book the free twenty-minute consultation regardless of which rate you're looking at. We'll figure out the money in five minutes and spend the rest of the call on whether this is actually a fit, which is the part that determines whether therapy helps you at all.
